Multimedia - Movie Maker Lesson

Overview:

You will be creating a "movie" on one of the following topics:

  1. Aspect ratios
  2. Progressive vs. Interlaced
  3. NTSC, PAL
  4. DV, SD, HD
You will use the notes that you have taken on the topic, combined with more in-depth research of the topic via the web.

Objectives:
  1. Hands-on experience with Windows Movie Maker.
  2. Deeper understanding of a key "video production" topic.
  3. Usage of GIMP, Inkscape, and Audacity as part of the movie production process.
Specifics:
  1. Research your topic and type your findings into a Google Document.
    1. Include any pertinent/interesting information (don't need to get too technical)
    2. Name your document the same name as your topic.
    3. Share the document with me.
  2. Use GIMP and/or Inkscape to create Opening Screen(s) and any other pertinent screens.
  3. Include pertinent media (images, sounds, video) from the web.
  4. Including "live" audio/video that is recorded by you will receive extra credit.
  5. Save files in your network share:
    1. "Video 02 - Video Lesson"
  6. Include as much content as you feel is necessary for your topic given the time-frame for this assignment.
  7. Your final file should be saved as .wmv format.
